Nabua, Camarines Sur --- In the afternoon of January 22, 2015, Nabua Police Station led by Police Chief Inspector Ruben Dalit Padua Jr, Acting Chief of Police, filed a case thru inquest proceeding before Cam Sur Prov’l Prosecutors Office, Naga City, for Violation of RA 8294 as amended by RA 10591 "Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act". and Violation of Comelec Resolution no. 15-0026 against the 2 suspects identified as Jovencio Arcilla y Vargas, 54 yrs old, married, a resident of Brgy Sta Cruz, an alleged confidential Agent of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) based in Mayon Ave, with back rider identified as Francis Basco y Barnido, 46 yrs old, a resident of Bagumbayan, all of Naga City, docketed under Inquest NO. V-10-INQ-15-00041. The incident transpired when a team of Nabua MPS conducted checkpoint/ Oplan Bakal Sita in Brgy Paloyon Proper of this town, at about 11:30 PM of January 21, 2015,  when a Red motorcycle Yamaha Vega Force, without plate #, driven by Jovencio Arcilla y Vargas, with back rider Francis Basco y Barnido, was flagged down, and during the verification, a PNP member accidentally saw a protruding handle of a Caliber 45 Pistol, with TM Taurus, Serial #. 124321 with one steel magazine and loaded with seven (7) live ammunition which was tucked on his waistline, and upon body search, also recovered an Airsoft gun, with TM G 18C Tactical, with Serial # WET5168 inserted with a steel magazine and a telescope inside the color black pouched inside the green bag of the backrider Francis Basco y Barnido. The 2 suspects failed to present any legal document for the possession and carrying of the said firearms. Suspects were still awaiting commitment order..###(Nabua MPS)
